my hair is medium brown and i want it s really really dark brown almost balck, so if i dye it dark brown will it fade, should i just dye it soft black and let it fade to the dark brown? thanks!!!

if you dye it dark brown it will fade, and go to light brown, so soft black is better...

Dye will eventually fade out after a while that's why you'll have to do it again!

If you dye it soft black it will actually be a harsh black. My advice is to go with a medium dark brown. It will actually be closer to black like you want it.

If you're using permanent color it will stay the color you dye it. It might fade only slighty over a couple months but it will remain a dark brown. It will NOT return to light brown if you use permanent dye. If you use the semi permanent stuff that says it lasts 12-15 washes, then it'll fade. Permanent dye works in a way that the chemicals replace your hair pigment with that of the color you're using.

My hair was brown with golden brown highlights and I dyed it dark brown and now it looks like my regular color. I used Garnier Nutrisse which actually helps bring out your regular color and doesn't damage or dries out you hair.

This question depends on your hair type.I have natural drk brn hair.I have been dying it for almost 19yrs now.If you put blk on it it will fade but be really dark at first.My daughter puts a drk brn on hers and it stays for a couple months b4 fading.At any rate if u put it blk or drk brn you will have to do it again in a couple months anyhow.blk does last a bit longer but remember it is blk and you can't cover blk without sriping your hair color out.If you really want a good tip...go to your local dollar store they sell hair color its cheap but will be just what your looking for at a low cost.buy blk for a buck.its cheap fades quickly and you will have that drk brn hair you wanted or just go buy a more expensive type and have drk brn hair right away its up to you.What ever you do don't buy any color with ash in it.
