1.) First when your hair is very wet apply a straightening gel (I like Tresemme's- it's cheap but works) to the bottom 4 inches of your hair if it is past shoulder lenght, if not the ends.

2.) Next Spray on a heat protectant. Again I like Tressemme's. Let your hair air dry about 50-70% if you can. If not go on to the next step anyway.

3.) Blowdry. If you are trying to blow your hair straight then I suugest spraying a flexible hold hairspray on first. I like the one from Thermasilk. Then blowdry using a large paddle brush. When your done spray on a finishing hair spray.

Start at the top and use a hairbrush. I have a hairstylist so I reccommend you ask yours to teach you for a bit more $$$

They say to put your head upside down and blow dry it like that (not kidding).

HELP!. is there a "correct" way to blowdry hair?

start at the crown of your head and use a round brush to separate hair as you dry it. never hold the dryer closer than 6 inches away from your hair and keep it moving the whole time so that the heat isnt focued on any one place for too long.

The real ceramic irons are made specifically for that.

Do you dry your hair upside down (with you hair hjanging over you face and you bending over)? If you dry it standing up, and style it with a brush a bit, that should help.
