Any blondes out there ever died their hair brown from a box kit?

Were you happy with it? My hair is medium blonde, just looking for a change. I normally do blonde highlights but want to try something new.

i did i was blonde but the thing is if you do it and it turns your hair green at the ends then put a strawberry blonde at the ends it dont change the brown and it will turn your hair all the same color i am very happy with my hair color at frist i was like omg did i make a mistake but now i love it!!!!

my hair is blonde like my avatar. i dyed it like a redish brown kinda color once. it looked good, but i prefer my natural color. i'm kinda scared to dye it like straight up brown, since my hair is blonde, that's why i did like redish light brown.

I didn't like it because the roots grow in light blonde, and that's way more noticable than darker roots growing in on dyed blonde. The next time I felt like a change, I went to my hair dresser, who put dark brown, warm brown, and dark blonde chunks into my light blonde hair. The result was very cool, instead of just one colour of brown, and the blonde roots didn't show up as much as they grew in. It cost $65 though, but looked and lasted longer than the stuff in the box.

This is something you should leave to the professionals. If you have highlights in your hair, everywhere that is light will grab the base color of the shade you use because the underlying pigment in your hair has been removed. This well result in grey, green or orange-ish hair. Plus, because it is porous, the new color will fade out after a few shampoos. Blond hair needs to be filled before a shade two or more levels darker is used if you want true, even, vibrant color.
