There could be endless reasons, could be he has allergies, his diet may not be good(hopefully you are feeding a grain free food), he may have dry skin, could have many other things wrong. Have you taken him to the vet?

You are bathing him too much.

A dog should only be bathed once a month. Inbetween bathings, wipe their eyes and nose to keep them clean. Since you are brushing them, you are keeping the oils from catching dirt on the skin, so they shouldn't have an odor.

According to the vet I worked for, you're bathing him too much. Doing so takes away the protective oils that are supposed to be there and can cause endless problems. You may want to get your dog to your vet and make sure he doens't have a skin condition that could be causing the hair loss. Also, make sure he's on a good, quality diet.
